5 on Friday

Happy Friday Everyone!!  This weekend is sure to be a good one.  I am linking up today with the fabulous host of the Five on Friday!!

Five on Friday

1)  Kid Clammy turns the big 3 this weekend.  I can't believe how fast the time has gone.  To celebrate his birthday we are heading to LegoLand.  It is the first time for all of us.  We have some family and friends joining us so we are sure to have a great time.

2) Its a 3 day weekend!! I sure can't complain about that!!  I am also enjoying this CD very much - just wish it wasn't to hot to "roll the windows down and cruise"
 

 

3) Bragging about my hubby.  He is pretty amazing!! He has been selected by the ASA to build their 2014 raffle car.  This is a pretty big deal around these parts!!!

4) I am very thankful that for the last 4 months I have been able to take Sissy to work with me!! She has made each day so much happier at work.  While tomorrow is her last day coming with me since she is getting too mobile - I am thankful for the time that she was able to come!!

5) It a weekend to remember those who risk their lives to serve and protect our county.  A big shout out to all Military

Personnel and their families.  Thank you for your service and sacrifice to keep us safe.  

**Note to self - SAVE MORE OFTEN.  Part way through this post I hit the wrong short cut keys and erased everything I had written!! Yikes!!!
 

On the train to crazy town...

I have been trying to write a post for a few days now.  I have started numerous...some I never finished, some I thought I will save that for another day, some I did not like, some I can't remember what the point was supposed to be, I can't focus.  My brain just won't quit.  It has already taken me 20 minutes just to write this because I am so distracted.  My thoughts are all over the place probably much like this post!!  I feel like my next stop is crazy town!  I have having some of the most random and sometimes worst thinking thoughts possibly.  For instance when I saw that the 3 higher ups were all talking late after work the other day my mind went straight for..."I must be losing my job".  What the heck is wrong with me? Hopefully I can get focused soon and get off the crazy town train.

These are more fun childhood questions!

1. What do you miss most about being a kid?   

I miss being irresponsible.  I remember growing up and adults telling me enjoy it now before bills and what not kick in.  Enjoy your childhood.  It is so true!! I wanted nothing more to be a grown up and now that I am there are days where I think "Can I have my childhood back?"

2. Did you have a nickname growing up? What was it?

Did and still do.  My "Tia" calls me Punky, my friends call me "B" or "BB", my kids call me "Momma" and my hubby calls me "Babe"

3. What was your favorite thing to do at recess?

I would have to say hang with the girls and talk about boys.  

4. What did you want to be when you grew up?

First a doctor - then I realized I couldn't tell people that one of their family members had passed away or something along those lines.  Then a veterinarian but that idea passes quickly.  I finally settled on a teacher.  And while I do not teach right now I do have my credentials to be able to teach. 

5. Did you participate in any school activities?

In high school I was a cheerleader.  While it was a ton of fun - I did not enjoy the politics that went with it. 

6. What is the funniest thing you did as a kid that your parents still remind you about?

The time I asked for green mashed potatoes and hot dogs for dinner.  This is because it was something that my dad was totally grossed out by!!

Having a Jessie Spano Moment

Good morning everyone!  Happy Friday!  So I know I am 100% dating myself here by talking about Saved By The Bell but hey it was a fav amongst many back in the day!  So raise your hand if you know the episode I am talking about...the one where Jessie gets hooked on caffeine pills. Her, Kelly, and Lisa are supposed to be singing for something and she just can't keep up with school, rehearsals etc. So to stay awake she starts taking caffeine pills. Well pretty soon she is busted my our main man Zack. In the process of her freak out she starts yelling "THERE'S NO TIME

THERE'S NEVER ANY TIME!!"  Do you know what scene I am talking about yet?  Well more than once this week I have found myself wanting to scream that EXACT same thing!!  I even told the hubs the other day - I am having a Jessie Spano Moment!!  I know I am not the only one who feels this way but this week it has been more so than ever!!

Has anyone seen my brain?

Holy Moses!  I think my brain has gone missing!!   I just can't seem to get it together!  I keep telling myself that Kid Clammy got the first half of my brain and Sissy got the second half of my brain!  So I guess that explains it!  My brain is gone forever. The hope is that with what my kiddos from me will at least make them somewhat smart!
