Five on Friday

Well HELLLLLLLOOOOOO Friday!! So happy to see you!!  We have been busy getting ready for Christmas. We are wrapping presents up a storm (not my favorite thing), decorating gingerbread houses and spending money like it going out of style!! Ha ha!!

Here is a  Five on Friday - linking up with some lovely ladies!!

1.  Gingerbread Houses for the win!! Daddy helped assemble and frost, the kids ate the candy and what was left over stuck on the house.  Sissy did a great job putting the candy on (after she licked it of course).

2.  Sissy practicing her "elfies" as she calls them!

3. A beautiful sky - that's all!

4.  Someone got a huge goose egg the other night - I totally thought this was share worthy!

5.  Merry Early Christmas to me!!  I was shopping Etsy for some gifts for the grandma's and found this for myself!!  You can find yours here!!

Happy Friday!!

Five on Friday

Hello!  Happy Friday - not sure where you are but we getting some much needed rain here is So Cal.  The only down fall is that when water falls out of the sky - people forget how to drive!! Does that happen where you live?  In any case today I am linking up with the lovely ladies for a little Five on Friday!

1.  Last night consisted of hot cocoa and Christmas tree decorating.

Only two casualties resulted in such from Sissy and one from me.  Oops - hardwood floors are not forgiving like carpet.

2)  Monday was Bunco and it was my month to host.  I served breakfast for dinner and learned that my phone has a timer to take group selfies!!

3.  This was the last week for swim lessons and gymnastics until after the first of the year.  Yeah for a bit of a mommy run around town break!

4.  First half of Christmas cards in the mail

5.  Grandpa's little helper & Some crazy elves (lumping two things together)

Have a great weekend!!

Thanksgiving Eve

To say I have been a bust absent from this space would be an understatement. However on the eve of thanksgiving I wanted to pop in and share a few of the things I am thankful for!

My hubby and kids. They are amazing! They all keep me on my toes and laughing. They are sweet and sassy!  My hubby is one of the hardest workers provide for his family.

My parents and out supportive family. My parents are amazing. They are my daycare 3 days a week, supportive always there when I need them and the love the show for us is amazing!

My sisters.  I am not talking about the ones you were born with, married into or anything like that.  I am talking about the sisters I picked and who picked me.  Starting at friends in elementary school and growing into sisters.  These two women mean more to me than they may ever know.  While we don't live in the same states, see each other or talk everyday, I love them to the moon and back.  They get me, they understand me, they support me and I do the same for them.  I wouldn't know what do to without them!

My Friends - I have some really great friends and I am thankful for the memories and the laughs and time spent with them!!

Adoption because without it I would have these wonderful people in my life.

I hope you all are counting your blessings, giving extra thanks and hugs, and enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!

A look into life...

Hello blog!! My its been a few days.  Just stopping in to update with a small glimpse into what we have been up too.  Last week a friend turned 40 so thanks to groupon we did a wine (or beer for me) paint night.  While it was fun it sure is stressful at the same time!

Above is what the paint is supposed to look like...Below is mine!

This past Saturday night a few of us went to an Aztecs football game.  That is our big college team - and while I went more for the cheerleaders (my niece is one) and the Sky Show - the Aztec won so that made it even better!!

The other morning I went in to get Sissy - and this is how I found her!

Kid Clammy got a new toy in the mail from his Uncle.

Sleepy boy - this is what happens at 6:30 pm on a Sunday with no nap and playing hard all weekend!

Sissy is practicing her selfies!  Or as she calls them "elfies"

Happy Monday!

Today I am linking up with Julie for the Halloween Costume link up.

This year we have Lightening MacQueen and Minnie Mouse.

We have had two chances to practice Trick or Treating - and while Kid Clammy had it down pat already last year - Sissy got the hang of it really quick this year!! They are ready!!

A Letter to your Younger Self

Dear 10 year old self - Don't be in such a hurry to grow up.  Enjoy life!!  Being a grown up is highly over rated.

Dear 18 year old self - Let loose a little!!  Good job on ignoring the high school drama but you don't have to be so caught up in that older boyfriend.  Enjoy high school as much as you can - don't be so afraid of your mom - she acts tough but will always love you no matter what!   Be better about your money - no credit cards - Save / Save / Save!!

Dear 21 year old self - Keep living it up!! Now is the time to do it!!  Get rid of those credit cards and keep Saving Saving Saving!! Learn to be better with your money!!  For the love of Pete - finish your teaching credential RIGHT AWAY!!  You can go to beauty school later!!

Dear 30 year old self - Don't be so afraid of change.  Do big things - make big things happen - don't let fear and self doubt stand in your way!!  GET IT DONE!!

Favorite instagram editing apps

Here are a few of my favorite editing apps for the Insta!

I like this one because there are times where my photos are square and fit in those little grids lines so this app makes that happen!

Repost & Regram

I like this one because it allows me to repost something I like easy-peasy-lemon-squeezey!

A Beautiful Mess

This is a fun one because you can add words / borders /etc nice and easy!
