Weekend fun

The weekend was good.  Kid Clammy and I are both feeling better - though not 100% - but better none the less.

Friday night hubby and I had a date night at our tax appointment!  We were able to go for a nice sit down Mexican food dinner afterwards instead of Jack in the Box tacos.

Saturday we spent the day celebrating my Brother in Law's birthday.  We rented a party bus - filled it up with some peep's and heading to four different local breweries.  To say we had a good time would be an understatement!

Sunday - we laid low...hanging at the house - doing chores, taking Sissy for her 2 year pictures.  2 years old and 2 appointments later we got them handled.  (She was not cooperating earlier in the day).  The picture below is a classic one!

Finally Friday

Even though it was a short week it was a long one. I have been fighting a cold for over a week know and Kid Clammy has had it all this week. He has had a fever most of the week and hasn't been himself. Hopefully the fever is gone as of today and we can both be on the mend.

Last weekend we went to the desert and while there of course we celebrated Sissy's second birthday.

So for today's five on Friday I'll be sharing some desert pictures...

1. Hubby, Cousin and Kid Clammy ready for a dune ride

2. Mom, Dad, and Sissy are ready for the dune ride

3. For her birthday from my parents Sissy got a helmet and chest guard - she is
ready to ride her quad.

4. Crazy morning faces on her Birthday

5. Never a bad desert sunset!

Happy Friday....Have a great weekend!

Five on Friday

Good Morning!! Happy Friday!! Linking up with the ladies today for some  5 on Friday the 13th!!

1. This girl...had her 2 year check up on Tuesday.  We had some fun at the doctor's while we were waiting!  I just love her to pieces...and can't believe that she is going to be 2 on Saturday...she is my Valentine's Babe!!

2. These cute Valentine's that the kids got from day care.  How cute?  I was not mother of the year or even close - we only did Valentine's for Kid Clammy's preschool class and they were mini bags of skittles with stickers on then!! Yeah Me!!

3. So I saw this on Facebook yesterday and loved it!

4.  3D Fiber Lashes...Have you tried them?  Love them!! They are amazing!! That's why I signed up to sell them.  Email me if you are interested (Shameless Plug)

5. Its Friday and it's a 3 day weekend!! Yahoo!!

Lite Weekend

It was a easy weekend around our house...lots of hanging out, relaxing, minimal plans...and I liked it!!  An easy weekend consists of very few pictures.

The other night I went in to check on the kids before I put myself to bed and found Sissy like this...I guess the cool kids sleep with their glasses on!

The next day nap time looked like this...

We ventured out for dinner on Sunday night...thank you gift cards!! This was Kid Clammy practicing his photo bomb skills.  Fairly on point son...well played.

February

So - I practically failed at all of my goals for the month of January!!  The only things I managed to do were finish one book and host friends for dinner.  I guess 2 is better than none.

1) Pack my lunch at least 4 of the 5 work days - I actually did this all but one week - so not too bad.  So I will only cross half of it out.

2) Pick up house each night before bed - even if its 1 room (and for goodness sakes get all the laundry put away) - Yeah - so didn't happen like I wanted it to!!

3) Empty shed at Mom & Dad's - Well you win some and lose some...This didn't happen but the month of January just got away from me!

4) Clean out kids toys & clothes.  I have slightly started this - as it really is an ongoing project!

5) Have a garage sale - then donate what's left over (gotta pay for the kids college somehow) - Nope - not even close

6) Finish at least 1 book   I read the Longest Ride by Nicholas Sparks - Loved it!!

7) Host friends for dinner.  I am not talking a big dinner party but have another family over for dinner.  We have this habit of saying let's get together and then we never do...it's time to change that!   We actually hosted friends one night, family two nights - so I think that is a win!

I think that's a good start!!

Moving on to February...

1.  Continue packing lunches

2. Try getting up on time so as not to feel so rushed in the morning

3. Read another book

4. Keep working on the house organization and purging

5. Celebrate Sissy's second birthday!

6. Host another set of friends for dinner
